Robin A Barnes - Managing Director

Robin was born and educated in Guernsey. He commenced his career in 1976 with National Westminster Bank and subsequent headed up the trust companies of Bank of Bermuda and Bank of Butterfield in Guernsey. In 1999 he moved to Bermuda to take up the appointment of Managing Director of Butterfield Trust (Bermuda) Limited. He returned to Guernsey in 2002 to join Federal.

Robin is an Associate of the Institute of Financial Services (formerly The Chartered Institute of Bankers) and a Full Member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing having attainted a Postgraduate Diploma in Marketing in 1999. He attended Ashridge Management College in 1995. Robin has been a member of Society of Trust and Estate Planners since the Society was established in 1991 and has been on the committees of the Guernsey and Bermuda Branches.

Robin has extensive experience in working with international families resolving problems which arise with substantial wealth.

John M Button - Chairman

An English solicitor and formerly for over 25 years Chairman and Chief Executive of the Ansbacher Offshore Group and a director of Henry Ansbacher Holdings Plc., Bankers. During the 1960s John was a Director of Gresham Trust Ltd.

John was educated at Winchester College and Brasenose College Oxford where he obtaind a BA and MA Hons. Jurisprudence. John moved to Guernsey from the United Kingdom in 1976.
